Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s unpaid results.
This is done by obtaining a high-ranking placement in the organic (non-paid) search results on engines such as Google, Bing, or Yahoo! Search Engine Marketing (SEM) consists of two main tasks: keyword research and creating content to match that keyword phrase.

Get Inbound Links
Link building is a long-term strategy, so don’t expect to see results overnight. However, it’s one of the most effective ways to improve your Google ranking and get traffic from organic search results.
Link-building strategies include:
- Guest blogging – Write articles for other websites and ask them if you can link back to your website. Submitting guest posts on relevant blogs or sites with large audiences that accept guest contributions can help you improve your ranking. In these cases, make sure that you always include an internal link back to another page on your site within the body of the article itself—not just as something hidden somewhere in an author bio or list of related links
- Commenting on other blogs – Leave comments about relevant blog posts, then include links back to your website at the end of those comments.
Add fresh content to your site regularly.

By adding fresh content regularly, keeping your audience engaged, and coming back for more.
Add new information to your site at least once a week, if not more often—and make sure it’s relevant and useful.
This can be in the form of articles or blog posts with original content that offers value to readers who see it; podcasts featuring interviews with industry experts; videos explaining how-to’s or tutorials; photos of events related to your business or industry that happened lately; even quizzes or polls related to popular topics among your target audience (like “What would happen if aliens invaded Earth?”).
Anything that helps maintain your presence online, while also providing something new for visitors who may come across your site again in the future will help increase visibility on Google Search results pages.
Use title tags and meta descriptions & Alt tags
The title tag and meta description are the most important on-page SEO elements. These two fields are what show up on search engine results pages (SERPs), so it’s important to use them as effectively as possible.
The title tag is used to describe your page, so include your target keyword(s) in this field.
Meta descriptions can be difficult to write because they’re often quite short. However, don’t forget that Google uses these descriptions to decide whether or not a page is worth showing up on its SERPs, so make sure they contain your target keywords while also being informative and interesting!
Alt tags should also contain one or more of your target keywords if possible because they’re visible when someone hovers over an image in search results (or even on social media platforms).
Optimize Your Site for Mobile
Optimizing your site for mobile is crucial. Mobile-friendly websites are more likely to rank higher on Google and bring in more visitors. If you don’t have a responsive website, it’s time to make the switch!
Use a Responsive Design
Responsive design means that your site will adjust its layout based on the device being used to view it. This makes using your site easy and intuitive whether you’re using a desktop computer or tablet, or even if you’re viewing content on your phone.
Make Sure Your Site Is Easy To Navigate On Mobile Devices
If someone is searching Google on their phone while they’re waiting in line at Starbucks and they click on one of your pages but can hardly see anything.
Because there’s so much text that has been shrunk down into tiny text blocks, chances are good that they’ll just close out of the window without clicking anywhere else or navigating anywhere else within your site–and probably won’t come back again anytime soon!
As such, we recommend making sure all of the important information about different sections about each product or service offered by yours truly—you know what I mean by “yours truly”–is available somewhere on every page under “More Information,” preferably at least one paragraph per section too.
So people can read them quickly without having to scroll down too far vertically; otherwise, readers might think these sections aren’t important enough.
Delete Unwanted Pages from the Index.
- Google search index is the collection of all web pages indexed by Google. To see if a page is not in Google’s search index, you can do a manual check or use our free tool.
- You can find unwanted pages from the following places:
- https://www.webmastertools.google.com/ – Sign in to your account and click Site configuration > Search console > View removed URLs
- – Select “Remove URLs less than this” on the Advanced settings page
Solve crawl errors
To fix crawl errors, you need to find out what the problem is. Crawl errors are caused by bad code, so you’ll have to figure out exactly where the bad code is and fix it.
The easiest way to do this is by using a tool like Screaming Frog or DeepCrawl. These tools will help you identify the pages with crawl errors, then let you know which parts of those pages are causing them.
Once you’ve identified which pages have issues, it’s time for some manual work: going through each page and fixing any problems that arise from syntax errors or poor coding practices.
If one part of your site has an issue with code quality—like having too many redirects or duplicate titles—then other parts of your site may suffer as well (like being unable to load content properly).
